Public speaking is one my personal passions. I have had the opportunity to learn from some of the best communicators out there through either training, coaching or simply by presenting right next to them. This is includes sharing the stage with people like Billy Beane (Moneyball), Robert Ballard (Explorer), Eddie the Eagle (Ski Jumper) and others. This was a straight forward event opener. The idea was to emphasize the tremendous opportunity around the Digital Transformation.

This is one of my favorite openings. It took some creativity to come up with something that would inject the audience with energy before a long series of keynotes. The event started early in the morning and we wanted to make sure people were ‘awake’.

On Stage Interview with Eddie the Eagle

Shortly after the movie ‘Eddie the Eagle’ was released, we decided to engage Eddie as a motivational speaker for one of our conferences. I therefore had the pleasure of interviewing him for 45 minutes. It was a very fun and also inspiring experience. This guy has accomplished some amazing things. Highly recommend him as a speaker!

This conference opening was fun! The room with over 2500 people was completely dark. Following the video and the intro we just had a spotlight on me while walking through the massive room.

Agile Data Engine 2024

At Agile Data Engine, I had the pleasure to speak at different data conferences. One of them was quite fun – it took place in Verbier and the theme was Skiing & Data. It was a super casual setting with some of the smartest folks in the data industry.

While at Agile Data Engine, I also hosted our annual user conferences. Here are some videos from the 2024 conference in Helsinki. The audio quality is not that great sadly. But we had a fabulous day.

We also hosted a fun tech podium where we teamed up with ‘arch enemies’ Databricks & Snowflake.

The Harriett and Christoph story

The Cognos Insight demo and the video above turned out to be extremely popular within the IBM Business Analytics world. We received a ton of positive feedback (Thank you!). One of my colleagues therefore decided to develop a short and simple teaser campaign right before the official Cognos Insight launch in March 2012.

Episode 1
